Maritime Safety Information is broadcast at 0903 local time on HF frequencies 2524, 4146 and 6227 kHz, and VHF CH69, after initial announcements on 2182, 4125 and 6215 kHz and VHF CH16.

This is believed to be the only "yachties" station remaining in Australia and is operated by volunteers at The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania.
Monitors: Ch 16, 81 at Mt Raoul on Tasman Peninsula, 21 at Mt Murray north of Triabunna and 4483 kHz
Times: Opening hours are from 0805 to 0830 and 1805 to 1830 daily.
VHF Ch 16, 81 are intermittently monitored at other times of the day or evening.

State warnings and routine forecasts from Wineglass Bay to SE Cape, Derwent Estuary and D'Entrecasteaux Channel given at each sked. Other Tasmanian coastal areas and Bass Strait, interstate or High Seas given on request.

Where the vessel is normally kept (mooring, berth, yacht club, marina, etc) or where the vessel was launched (trailer boats)

A shore contact name and phone number in case of an emergency. The shore contact should also know the names of your crew, their next-of-kin and their contact numbers.
